About

I am presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat. Before Joining SVNIT, I worked for 3 Years at the Vellore Institute of Technology. Currently, I am involved in Undergraduate teaching, guiding research scholars, and various research publications. I have good knowledge in the area of deformation and thermo-mechanical processing, microstructure and texture development in materials, and the welding behavior of metals and alloys. I have also worked in the area of computation and simulated the texture using different crystal plasticity models to understand the micro-mechanisms involved during the deformation of metals. I have published my work in very reputed SCI journals - Philosophical Magazine, Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, and Materials Characterization, etc. I am a frequent speaker in various national and international conferences and received two best paper awards.

I am passionate about sports and represented my college in various Inter-college cricket tournaments. I was a member of numerous professional bodies during my college and professional life and was in charge of various sports and cultural events.
